Join me this weekend for a celebration of art in Tahlequah. There is the Tahlequah Gallery Hop Friday night from 6-8pm with 11 different art centers and galleries open. Plus the fun continues through the weekend with 13 art shows open to everyone.
I have work at the NDN Custom Framing and the Native Influence 3 Show. I will be hopping around and working at the Cherokee Heritage Center’s Homecoming Show.

I have been honored enough to have been asked to be a contributing artist for Breast Impressions. Check out there website and find their page on Facebook for a lot more information. Founder Judi Grove as nice enough to ask to participate again and I am very grateful. I have been given the job to symbolize the story of a wonderful 4 time cancer survivor who I hold so much respect for.
I will be posting each step to creating this art piece for a great cause.
Here is the challenge:
~ 18 casts will be on display at the Woodland Hill Mall in September including mine.
~ All the casts will be auctioned off at the annual gala October 2, 2010 at the OU Schusterman Campus to benefit the Tulsa Womens Project (check the website for ticket info)
~ The cast MUST be done by September 1, 2010
~ I have about 30 days to complete .
~ I will post pictures of the process for you to follow the choas of an artist on a deadline.

Proud to announce my sis Shirlee and I received 2nd place in the 3D category at the ANA Regional Art Exhibition today. The exhibit runs through August 6th at the Arkansas Center of the Ozarks.

The Artists of Northwest Arkansas are pleased to have their 16th Annual regional juried competition at the ACO. The ANA seeks to provide regional artists with a way to discuss artistic experiences and endeavors while increasing awareness of the diversity of talent in NWA. This show is always a wonderful example of regional talent, and a big crowd pleaser.

“Split Personality” opens this Friday at NDN Custom Frame in Tahlequah from 6-8pm.
It will have new works from this comic framed and ready for your home, and new sculpture pieces.
One of many shows going on this weekend for the Friday Gallery Hop and Saturday’s Art of Living Festival. Saturday’s hours are 10am-6pm. Come on out, it’s all FREE!

I received some cool Fuzzy related gifts for my B-day this week. The first one is by WA artist J.L. Anderson. It’s Fuzzy in 3-D. Its so cool. He’s about 6 inches tall and has the perfect smirk. For more on J.L. check out her website at http://anaria.net , her etsy site, and her deviantart page.

Tulsa Comic and Anime Expo
The 2009 Tulsa Comic and Anime Expo was a blast. I want to thank everyone who came by the table and shared in a laugh. Laughter was the greatest compliment I could ask for.
I also want to thank and show my respects to these great artist who were also there: Dave from Sweet Chunks, Amber from Love the Dango, the ladies at Happy Ninja Confetti, Peter from Ravenchilde, Leanne from chistudios, Bob and Eric from Boodachitaville, Larry from gryphonking.com and Mercedes from mercedeslackey.com.

7 Nutty Sins
It was suggested I enter my ‘7 Nutty Sins’ series in a DeviantART compitition. It sound fun so I did and I tied for 1st place in the digital art category. It’s the little things that make you smile. Here’s the link to the other winners.

This is the one year anniversary for this version of Nut Cracks! I am very happy that I have stuck with it and haven’t missed an update. Everyone’s support and comments have made this a fun project that I am sure I will be continuing for a while.

Original Nut Cracks 1996
As I said above, this is the newest version of Nut Cracks. The first Nut Cracks comic was produced in 1996 when I was a sophomore in college at Eastern Washington University. They have a huge squirrel population. So much so I think they have their own fraternity now. I would post my comics in independent newsletters on campus. Boy, Fuzzy has come along way. In celebration I found my first Nut Cracks and decided to post in. Thanks again for everyone’s support.
